At Kampung Endah you can still witness life as it was decades ago. You can even see traditional instruments handed down through generations being played for your entertainment. Walk around the Environmental Awareness Centre to explore flora and fauna. Stroll through the forest, indulge in birdwatching or visit coffee and herb farms. For a change, head for nearby Morib Beach.
Our visit to Kampung Endah in Banting in the District of Kuala Langat was one of my better experiences, I must say. After all, the village, which is pronounced as ‘Indah’ despite its spelling, is one of the best villages – in 1989, they bagged the Best Malay Village title in Malaysia (national level) and subsequently, Best Malay Village in Selangor (state level) in 1994. The bit history of the village that we know is this village create by combination of 2 group of villager that keep moves from each places to another places and they called it as "pindah randah". It is because of the sound of Jawa people, they called it Pendah, Indah and lastly it become Endah. But still they combined it with the words Indah actually but the spelling is still using "Endah".
There is a lot of activity that we do when we come to kampung Endah. First activity is we go to the small factory in village which produce the Kerepek Pisang. This can be know as SMTE's which is Small Medium Tourism Entreprises. We were introduced to the owner and we can see how the process of the Kerepek Pisang making.
There also another activity that we do that day such as visit to Kebun Chili which is cultivated by PakNgah itself which is our adopted Father. He also bring us to Cow Barn where we can see a lot of cow there. Then he bring us to village hall which has a lot of history and information with the rewards of Kampung Endah since many years ago.
This is the photo of the rewards that they gain since many years ago. We really enjoy the activity today even it is only a fews activity because we have a lack of time to have another activity.
On the next day. we go for Merewang activity which is this is usually on wedding ceremony. We join their activity on that day in the kitchen and cook for the people who come to wedding. We gain a lot of new experience on how they serve people who come to wedding. We really enjoy the activity which we can learn their culture and we can create a good teamwork on that day.
Here is the package if you want to go to this Homestay. But, please do not confuse. In Kampung Endah, there is a lot of Homestay with different owner. But still at the same village. The Homestay that we get is AB Homestay which we get a very good and kind owner.
